Lumo
AI-Driven Personalized Learning Experience
A concept case study exploring how AI-driven micro-learning can reduce overwhelm and support consistent, confidence-building learning.
Role: UX Designer & Researcher
Type: Concept Case Study
Focus: AI · Personalized Learning · Micro-learning
The Problem
Learners often feel overwhelmed when learning goals are long-term, unclear, or disconnected from their daily reality.
What I Observed
• Learners feel overwhelmed when goals are long-term and abstract
• One-size-fits-all platforms don’t adapt to pace, energy, or context
• Motivation drops when progress feels invisible or inconsistent
Why it matters
• Retention
• Consistency
• Learner confidence
The Approach
Designing calm, achievable learning
Instead of long-term learning plans, Lumo focuses on today’s learning —
short, personalized steps that adapt to the learner’s energy, pace, and context.
This approach reduces cognitive load while making progress feel visible and achievable.
Design principles
• Reduce cognitive load through small, focused steps
• Adapt learning pace to daily context and energy
• Build confidence through visible short-term progress
